Factory & Ordering

Four things to prepare before a whole-home order

Factory & Ordering

When the first quote is far off, it is usually because the papers are thin, not because the factory cannot count.

1. A floor plan

Mark walls, doors, windows and beams. A rendering without sizes can show a style. It cannot be priced.

2. An elevation you like

One photo of a TV wall or wardrobe you like is enough to decide whether doors are flat, slatted or glass.

3. Appliances and hardware

Whether the fridge is built in, whether there is a dishwasher, soft-close hinges or a named brand. These change the inside of the cabinet.

4. A budget range

Boards and doors vary widely in price. Name a range first, and the proposal will not only show the top specification.

For a pergola, add a photo of the yard, the length and width you want, and whether you need glass and screens. Indoor and outdoor can sit in the same request.

After the order reaches the factory

The approved drawing goes straight into nesting. Panels are cut, PUR edge-banded and drilled, then sorted by order, checked and packed. The photos below are from the Gumei woodworking plant in Foshan.
